The Portes Du Soleil is going to be doing quite well this year in respect to lifts getting revamped and general new kit getting put into place.

Here's a list of what's happenin...

Les Chavannes sector : the two Nauchets drag lifts will be replaced by a high-speed 6-seater chairlift.

Rosta Ranfolly sector : construction of a high-speed 6-seater chairlift, called "Les Grains d'Or"

Perrières sector : construction of a high-speed 6-seater chairlift in order to reduce the flow of cars in the resort as it offers both holidays makers and skiers on the move a real alternative in terms of access to the resort.

Perrières sector : installation of a fast drive-in cash desk to purchase a pass (full or half-day) with a minimum of time lost.

Mont Chéry sector : installation of new 6-seater cabins. Their design will be more modern, access facilitated and visibility of the surrounding mountains improved.

Plaine Dranse sector : a new high-speed 6-seater chairlift will replace the old 3-seater at La Chaux des Rosées.

Super Châtel sector : the Bossons drag lift will give access to the snowpark and boarder cross.

Construction of the Poussinet drag lift, following the same trajectory as that of the Poussin drag lift.

Construction of the Lac drag lift in extend of the trajectory of the Coquelets drag lift.

Barbossine sector : Construction of the Contrebandiers drag lift to facilitate the link-up between Châtel and Torgon.

Creation of a new snowpark, the "Chapelle snowpark", at the entrance to the resort, specifically designed for youngsters and beginners.

Development of a snowskate park, in which professional snowboarder can train, but also for initiating youngsters and for staging winter shows.

The "Tête aux Boeufs" half-pipe is to become a super pipe, in conformity with new norms which have recently come into effect, i.e. 120 m long and 4,5 m high.
