| Dixie Bar |
|
The dixie bar is one of the best places to go if you're a seasonaire or just staying for a week. The evenings spent here can be mellow or funky. There are two bars both with a different vibe and there are a couple of pool tables where you can play a game and relax after a day out on the slopes.
The Dixie Bar is just down the hill from the centre of the town away from the Super Morzine telecabine. |
| Buddha Bar |
|
The Buddha Bar is probably the best place to go for a few quiet drinks and some intellectual conversation. Surrounded by some amazing decor you can't help but feel in a different world. Buddha Bar, as the name suggests has a very strong Buddhism flavour. It is owned by Papy who also owned our chalet during the season (Chalet Papy!). During the day the place has a cafe type vibe but later it can become a hub of excitement with loads of people out for a fun night. |
| The Garage |
|
During my season I only got to The Garage once, a mate of mine was DJ'ing and I have got to say it was amazing. This is a really small place and can get pretty busy quickly but if it isn't rammed then its a cool, intimate place to go for a bit of a boogie.
Admittedly it is a bit of a trek to (
On the Route des Putheys ) but its worth it. |
| The Cavern |
|
Ive got to admit; the Cavern is my choice of bar/club. Its the most fun you can have in Morzine without a doubt. Its always going off and its always full to the brim with people having the best nights of their lives!
Its on the hill up from the square towards the Pleney lift.
The music is good most of the time and if you give the DJ some chat you can get some classics put on no probs. They're got loads of booze with a massive choice of shooters. |
